Project Manager & RDI Specialist | Preventive Health Research Unit at South-Eastern Finland University of Applied Sciences Xamk

At Preventive Health Research Unit at Xamk, we create health and wellbeing solutions based on research. My role combines communications, service development and research support. I help researchers and project partners translate health and wellbeing research into accessible, engaging initiatives and content. As part of Xamk's Nature-Based Wellbeing Services team, I develop projects and services that integrate nature into everyday wellbeing.

Selected projects

Raised by Nature (Luonnon kasvattamat) is a concept for nature-based lifestyle guidance for Finnish maternity and child health clinics, helping families access nature's health benefits. As a member of the development team, I led the launch and communications of the initiative. The guidance materials were released in July 2026 and have since gained significant national visibility. South Savo Sense - Wellbeing Trends as a Growth Opportunity: I lead this project, which explores emerging global wellbeing trends and works with businesses to transform these insights into innovative services and growth opportunities.

LISÄ – Added Value to the Development of Rural Areas with High-Competence Nature-Based Services:
The project focused on co-creating desirable nature-based wellbeing services with local companies. My key responsibilities included service co-design, stakeholder engagement and communications.

Communications designer, strategist & artist | Freelancer

As a trusted partner of growth companies in branding, communications, and design, I have helped e.g. Sulapac, Aiven and EMU Growth Partners in defining their brand and executing communications strategies. Working in close collaboration with leadership and marketing, I have led the development of brand strategies, sustainability communications and content planning.

I have also acted as project lead for companies seeking to expand their business. At Teho-Opisto, I was responsible for project management, concept development, market research and the launch of Scandinavian Design School, which brought the art and design school's courses online and available for international students. With Toimisto2030, I led the project where we created a management concept for purpose-driven businesses. With City in a Box, I lead brand development and had a major role in developing the business and services together with the team.

Besides communications and conceptual design, I am experienced in graphic design. My strength is understanding the bigger business and translating that into an engaging visual language. I have designed several visual identities and design assets for companies, and also engaged in individual creative projects including art exhibitions.

I work as the head of communications and brand development for the Saimaa European Region of Gastronomy title. My responsibilities include the development and launch of the Taste Saimaa brand, managing PR & media relations, facilitating workshops, event production and content management.

Development of a communications strategy for the company and creation of various written and visual materials for the company website, social media and newsletters.
